Jimmy Carter, Family, to Climb Kilimanjaro

NAIROBI, Kenya — Former President Jimmy Carter will climb Africa’s highest mountain, Kilimanjaro, next week, the Tanzania Tourist Corp. said today.
Carter, 63, will be accompanied by his wife, Rosalynn, and eight other members of his family on the five-day climb to the snowcapped summit of the 19,340-foot mountain, which overlooks the Kenyan border in northern Tanzania.
