Local News in Brief : Mission Viejo : Parks Head, Assistant City Manager Hired

Residents of the new city of Mission Viejo now have an assistant city manager and a director of parks and recreation, City Manager William O. Talley said Friday.

Talley said the assistant city manager will be Danian Hopp, who was active in setting up the incorporation of Mission Viejo in March and holds a master’s degree in public administration from Cal State Fullerton. He previously held administrative positions with the cities of Yorba Linda and Pomona.

Wayne Lowery, who has degrees in recreation administration from Cal State Sacramento and Michigan State University, will take over as recreation and parks director, Talley said.
