The head of the U.S. Gymnastics Federation said in Indianapolis he has nothing to hide and he welcomes a U.S. Justice Department review of the group’s financial records.

In his first interview since charges of illegal and unethical financial transactions surfaced Wednesday in The Times, Executive Director Mike Jacki of the USGF called his accusers “a bunch of people who crawled out from under the rocks.”

Justice Department officials have confirmed that they are sifting through a “sizable” stack of documents to determine if Jacki or the non-profit sports federation violated any tax, anti-trust or conflict-of-interest laws.

“My comment on the Justice Department is bring it on, our books are open, our books are always open,” Jacki said. “I’ll put our business up against anybody’s.”
