We never miss “Nightline” but “The Morton Downey Jr. Show” that follows is an abomination, and without a doubt the most disgusting that we have had the bad luck to watch. We have been unable to find one redeeming quality in this vile show, but to give it a fair chance and to note the names of sponsors, we watched it for three nights. Who needs that kind of caterwauling, yelling, screaming and arguing? What in the world can KABC-TV be thinking of? We need more polite conversation in our lives today, not less. Give us more of “Nightline.” As for Downey, we will not only turn him off but will boycott his sponsors’ products.
