A bomb exploded in the Paris offices of the Globe, a left-wing monthly magazine, sparking a fire that gutted the building and seriously injured a firefighter, French authorities said. The offices were closed at the time. No group immediately claimed responsibility for what police believe was an incendiary bomb attack. Globe Editor Georges-Marc Benamoum said the staff has frequently received telephone threats from racist organizations since it was founded in 1985.
