Dwayne Schintzius of the University of Florida was visited by federal drug agents at the U.S. Olympic men’s basketball camp on the day he was released from the team, Coach John Thompson said.

Thompson, though, also said during a telephone news conference from Washington that the July 20 meeting had nothing to do with the release of the 7-foot sophomore center.

University president Marshall M. Criser announced last week an investigation of possible on-campus illegal drug use that may involve current and former Florida athletes.
