And this from the bulging “But is it Art?” file: Disgusted members of the Doll and Teddy Bear Club of Australia have been protesting at Melbourne’s National Gallery of Victoria because of an unusual sculpture: a crucified teddy bear spattered with blood-colored paint. The creator of the 6-foot bloody teddy, Austrian artist Arnulf Rainer, has no particular explanation for the symbology of his work, which is probably just as well.
