As a second-generation American of Lebanese descent, I am frequently pained at the depictions of Arabs and Arab-Americans in the media, and by the reluctance of many to recognize that there is a Palestinian state which must be recognized before there will be peace in the Middle East. “A Voice for Palestine” (by Kathleen Hendrix, July 28), introducing an intelligent and articulate spokesperson for that cause, goes far toward lessening my pain.
