The Real Problem

Share

Growth is a great concern in San Diego, but the number of houses being built is not the problem.

The real problem is getting the government to keep up with our need for roads, parks, schools and libraries. That’s all most of us want: a grocery store within reasonable distance, a convenient post office.

Housing caps will cause more problems, and they won’t build us needed facilities. We don’t need some crazy lottery system for building houses, creating more corruption in the government.

Let’s work on getting the real growth problems solved. Imposing artificial restrictions on homes will not stop people from moving to San Diego; it will force our children to leave when they can neither find nor afford housing.
