Paraguayan police rescued seven Brazilian baby boys from a gang of kidnapers planning to kill them in the United States and sell their vital organs there, Juvenile Court Judge Angel Campos said in Asuncion. The babies--aged between 3 and 6 months--were rescued Wednesday from a private home in an Asuncion suburb. The infants were scheduled to be sold in the United States for about $15,000 each, police said. Seven people, including five Brazilian women, were arrested. The babies are well and have been taken to a children’s home, Campos added. The U.S. Embassy in Asuncion said it had no comment.
