A typhoon struck China’s southeast province of Zhejiang, killing more than 50 people and leaving 110 fishermen missing, officials said. Details of damage and casualties were sketchy, but a local official said that 17 fishermen from the port of Ningbo were drowned. The New China News Agency reported that 14 fishing boats sank at sea and another seven vessels were missing.
