South Korean youths hurling firebombs battled riot police in Seoul on the second day of violent protests against a government ban on a meeting between North and South Korean students, witnesses said. More than a dozen youths were arrested, but no injuries were reported. Pro-reunification and anti-American demonstrations also erupted in at least five cities, police said. The protesting students accused President Roh Tae Woo’s government of illegally blocking their plan to meet North Korean students in the border village of Panmunjom on Aug. 15.
