Oklahoma forward Stacey King was released from the training camp for the U.S. men’s Olympic basketball team at Georgetown University at Washington.

King, 6-11, has averaged 14.2 points per game during his three years at Oklahoma. He was second in scoring to Kansas’ Danny Manning in the 1988 National Collegiate Athletic Assn. tournament.

There are 16 finalists in the running for the 12-man Olympic roster. The final cuts must be made by Sept. 2.
