Two harbor pilots were injured today while guiding the Royal Yacht Britannia to Aberdeen for a meeting between Queen Elizabeth II and survivors of a North Sea oil platform disaster.

Harbor officials said the pilots were bruised and taken to a hospital after their vessel was crushed by one of the yacht’s lifeboats in heavy seas. The queen was asleep on board the Britannia at the time of the accident, they said.
