Advanced Micro Devices Inc. has filed lawsuits in U.S. District Court in San Jose asking for injunctions ordering Atmel Corp., Cypress Semiconductor Inc., Gazelle Microcircuits Inc. and Samsung Semiconductor Inc. to halt the manufacture and sale of integrated circuits that infringe on patents held by AMD. The suits also seek treble damages from each defendant for infringing sales and lost profits.
