Local News in Brief : Garden Grove : District Holds Line on Cost of School Lunches
Although educational costs are soaring locally and nationally, the Garden Grove Unified School District will hold the line on the cost of school lunches, a district spokesman said.
School lunches in the district will continue to cost 75 cents for elementary students, 80 cents for intermediate-grade students, and $1 for high school students, district spokesman Alan Trudell said Monday. High school students also have the option of choosing packaged picnic lunches for $1.25.
Trudell said the district has managed to keep prices the same since 1980, adding that the district “maintains the lowest student lunch prices among all Orange County public school districts.”
