Katherine Delsack, Marilee Stockman and Kym Young have been appointed to three-year terms on the Newport Beach City Arts Commission. Delsack is a senior corporate associate with the Newport Beach law firm Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton. Stockman has been a volunteer for such organizations as the Orange County March of Dimes and the Orange County Developmental Consortium Bioethics Committee. Young, an artist, has logged volunteer hours with such community organizations as the Girl Scouts of America and the Red Cross.

The commission’s sixth annual juried art competition will be held Oct. 6 through 8 in conjunction with the Newport Salute to the Arts. Open without fee to Orange County artists working in all media, the competition will be judged by artist Milford Zornes. Entries are due Oct. 2 between 8:30 and 10:30 a.m. at the Oasis Senior Center, Marigold Avenue and 5th Street, Corona del Mar.
