The parent of Southern California Edison Co. boosted its bid for rival utility San Diego Gas & Electric Co. to $2.12 billion from $2.03 billion. SCEcorp announced that the ratio of the stock swap by which it hopes to buy the smaller company had been increased to 1.20 shares of Edison for each share of SDG&E; from 1.15 shares. SDG&E; announced that it would study the offer.
