Bush, Quayle and GOP Convention

Share

I was thrilled by the President’s speech to the Republican convention so I thought I’d go for a walk in the park in order to savor his inspiring words.

Just outside my front door I was stopped by a drug dealer trying to recruit a new client.

Then as I entered the park I tripped over some homeless people sleeping on the ground. The resulting commotion angered some mentally ill individuals who chased me through the park. I finally eluded them, but while I was trying to catch my breath I was mugged, beaten up and robbed.

When I arrived home I checked my mail and found two requests for donations to the Reagan Library and the proposed Reagan Republican Center to be built near the Capitol in Washington, D.C. The letters thanked me in advanced and wished me a nice day.

I decided to just say no.
