The British government is setting up an evacuation procedure for the country’s athletes and officials in case next month’s Seoul Olympic Games are hit by terrorism, according to a report in a London newspaper.

The London Mail reported that the national airline, British Airways, is being asked to place some of its aircraft on stand-by for the 700-member British Olympic team.

“We are taking no chances this time,” said Dick Palmer, British Olympic Assn. secretary and team manager. “We are all very worried about unpredictable acts of terrorism from both internal and outside groups. We will not be hanging around if we need to leave.”
