Clint Eastwood is back in business in Carmel. No, not just as his honor the mayor, but as restaurant/bar proprietor. His Hog’s Breath Inn reopened Wednesday after being shut down by Monterey County health inspectors nearly two weeks ago because of unsanitary conditions. A new walk-in freezer and some serious clean-up work in the kitchen earned the restaurant the county’s OK, said Walter Wong, Monterey County environmental health director. He added that restaurant workers also “really cleaned up” the kitchen. Wong ordered the closure of the restaurant Aug. 18 after an inspection revealed numerous health violations.
