Sprinters Emmit King and Lee McNeill were added to the roster of the U.S. Olympic track and field team.

Men’s Coach Stan Huntsman said they will be reserves on the 400-meter relay team. King and McNeill finished seventh and eight, respectively, in the 100 meters in the Olympic trials.

“Both ran well recently as reserves with the Olympic unit in Europe, and their addition to the roster gives us good backup strength should we need it in Seoul,” Huntsman said.

Others on the 400 relay roster include Carl Lewis, Dennis Mitchell, Calvin Smith, Albert Robinson, Joe DeLoach and Mike Marsh.

Huntsman will list six of the eight sprinters on his relay roster for the Games when he submits his final list to the U.S. Olympic Committee Sunday.
