ANCHORAGE —
A tour bus plunged 200 feet from a muddy highway into a ravine in a remote area near the Canadian border, killing a man and injuring at least 23 people, officials said.
Eight helicopters provided by the military, state police and a private company picked up the injured. The bus “went off a veritable cliff” Friday on a stretch of highway that had been pelted by rain for several days, a state police spokesman said.
