Live, from Gorky . . . it’s Soviet politics! A local Communist Party meeting in Gorky (about 300 miles east of Moscow) was broadcast live on television Saturday, complete with call-in questions from viewers. The event marked the first time a Party meeting had been telecast live. But the government newspaper Izvestia, which reported the incident Sunday, did not add whether there were any plans to extend the experiment to higher-level party meetings, which are generally quite hush-hush.
