Minebea Co. Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan, announced the appointment of Jerry Calvin as president/chief operating officer of NMB (USA) Inc., Chatsworth, North American headquarters and U.S. base of operations for the Minebea Group of companies. Calvin will continue to serve as president of New Hampshire Ball Bearings, an NMB (USA) Inc. subsidiary.

Thomas E. O’Hern has been named chief financial officer of Los Angeles-based Riley/Pearlman Co., a developer and manager of shopping centers. O’Hern previously served as vice president-finance and chief financial officer for the MacDonald Group Ltd.

J.M. Peters Co., Newport Beach, has named Shanna Schalchlin director of merchandising, overseeing the development of model merchandising in Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura and San Bernardino counties. Schalchlin previously served as assistant to the vice president of product development.
