Channel 4’s news anchors will be making a bit of news as well as reporting it over the next two weeks.

During the Olympic Games, the station will present two prime-time news programs a night from Seoul, Korea. It’s thought to be the first time a local television news operation has originated entire newscasts from a foreign Olympic site.

The newscasts from Seoul will air at 9 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. starting Saturday, and continue through Sept. 30. Reports on the Games will be included, along with regular international, national and local news.

KNBC-TV’s personnel will be broadcasting from the top of a girls school that overlooks the Olympic Stadium, facilities they’ll share with the “Today” show and “NBC Nightly News.”

Scheduled to report from Seoul are Linda Alvarez, John Beard, Kelly Lange, Jess Marlow, Keith Morrison, Colleen Williams, Fred Roggin and Fritz Coleman.
