Dukakis Endorses Long List of Weapons Systems
Democratic presidential nominee Michael S. Dukakis today endorsed a long list of weapons systems that he said make sense for America’s defense and would bring cohesion to Pentagon priorities after eight years of Reagan Administration waste and mismanagement.
While endorsing a number of weapons programs in a speech at Georgetown University, Dukakis also reiterated his opposition to several favored by President Reagan and GOP presidential nominee George Bush, including the rail-based MX missile, and he expressed anew his concern about the B-1 bomber.
