Local News in Brief : City Hall Work OKd
The Palos Verdes Estates City Council has awarded Jamik Construction, a South Bay firm, a $99,135 contract to remodel City Hall.
The work, scheduled to begin Oct. 11 and take about a month, includes relocating walls, painting, and installing carpeting and new work stations.
While renovation is under way, the city staff will move into the City Council chambers. “It will be business as usual,” said City Clerk Barbara Culver. Council meetings will be held at a yet-to-be-announced school site, she said.
