Pier 1 Imports Inc.’s second-quarter earnings increased 32% from last year to $7.25 million. Revenue totaled a record $107.8 million, a gain of 24%. The Ft. Worth firm, which sells imported decorative home furnishings, credited the results to a spurt in business in the last two weeks of August.
