Overloaded Ferry Sinks in China; 61 Perish

BEIJING —
An overloaded ferry sank in a south China river, killing 61 people and leaving one missing, the official New China News Agency reported today.
The sinking Sunday was the eighth major boat accident since July and brought the total of people killed to more than 320, according to official figures. Investigators have attributed most of the accidents to human error.
