From our better late than never file: ABC received another Emmy Award for its series ‘China Beach” on Monday--three weeks after the rest of the statuettes were handed out. Presentation of the trophy, awarded to the ABC drama program for best costuming, was delayed when it was learned that the Emmy judging panel had not seen one of the programs nominated for costuming in its entirety. Given to costumers Paul Kaatz and Darryl Levine, the award brings ABC’s total Emmy count to 22. ABC emerged from the televised awards program on Aug. 28 with 21 trophies, most among the three networks.
