Assemblywoman Hughes to Receive Saints Award
Assemblywoman Teresa F. Hughes will be among the recipients of the Young Saints Guardian Angel awards, which will be presented Sunday at Open House and Recognition Day ceremonies for Young Saints Scholarship Foundation Inc.
The event marks the end of the organization’s training year, and the program will feature presentations from its stage production classes.
Awards of merit will be given to students for outstanding achievement; awards of appreciation will be presented to supporters.
Ceremonies will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Second Baptist Church’s Henderson Youth Center, 911 E. 25th St., Los Angeles. Information: (213) 734-5379.
