Pasadena : Zoning Change Approved
The Board of Directors has approved changing the zoning of several areas north of the Foothill Freeway to allow only the construction of single-family homes.
The areas, which total at least 160 residential lots, had been zoned to allow the construction of condominiums and apartments.
The new zoning will allow a maximum of six homes per acre.
The areas are roughly located on the north side of Orange Grove Boulevard from Mentor Avenue to Holliston Avenue; the south side of Villa Street from Michigan Avenue to Hill Avenue; and both sides of Michigan and Chester avenues from Villa Street to just before Orange Grove Boulevard.
