George Bush and Pearl Harbor Day
By George, this is Pearl Harbor Day! Bush bombed his supporters by exposing himself as a closet liberal! Just in the last two months he’s been coming out of the closet, announcing he wants to make government kinder and gentler with more opportunities for all. He invited blacks back into the Republican Party.
He’s invented a federal subsidy program for child care. He wants to do something to stop acid rain, even though it will cost a bundle. He changed his mind in favor of raising the minimum wage and in favor of protecting the California coastline from oil drilling after seven years of agreeing with Reagan that we couldn’t afford to do these things.
Out of the blue he proclaimed he’s now an environmentalist! All this on top of expanding the national defense--talk about big spenders! Good gracious, George! Conservatives just don’t say and do these things. What is a poor conservative to think?
