With tickets for Robin Williams’ and Steve Martin’s “Waiting for Godot,” which opens Oct. 11 at Lincoln Center in New York, limited to 15,000 seats in the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater, the center’s 36,000 members have been asked to submit ticket requests by today for a lottery to be held Saturday. Lincoln Center officials said they don’t expect any tickets to be left over. Tickets are $10 for members and $30 for any non-members lucky enough to get them. The Samuel Beckett play, directed by Mike Nichols, stars Williams, Martin, F. Murray Abraham and Bill Irwin. Tickets are limited because the theater holds only 299 seats and the stars’ commitments have limited the run to seven weeks.
