A tearful Oakland Hells Angels club member, wearing a black leather vest with a flying skull emblem, was surrounded and hugged by jurors after they found him innocent of major cocaine trafficking charges in a San Francisco federal court trial. James Colucci, an international officer in the club, is only the second gang member acquitted in a massive government investigation, despite testimony from a former Hells Angel who worked as an undercover operative for the FBI. Colucci, 49, was one of 13 Hells Angels arrested in the Bay Area in November, 1987, as part of a five-state roundup of 40 club members on charges of methamphetamine and cocaine dealing, illegal weapons and explosives possession.
