Those Snooty Shows

Veit must be laboring under a misapprehension. British purchases of television programs and motion pictures, compared to U.S. purchases of British product, probably exceed a ratio of 10,000 to 1 in favor of the United States.

All major American television series are seen either on BBC or independent television, and because BBC is even more of a government entity than PBS, I would hope for the sake of U.S. workers on such shows as “Dallas” and “The Cosby Show” that Veit’s letter is not publicized in London.
