College Roundup : Perisi Scores Twice to Lead UC Irvine Past Fullerton, 5-2

Mike Perisi scored two goals as UC Irvine defeated Cal State Fullerton, 5-2, Sunday in a Big West Conference men’s soccer match at Irvine.

The score was tied, 2-2, when Prisi scored his second goal with 17 minutes remaining in the game. John Gunderson had three assists for Irvine (3-6, 1-1).

Scott Person and Steve George scored goals for Fullerton (4-6-1, 1-1).

In women’s soccer:

UC Irvine 2, Chapman 0--Janelle Rogers and Laura Goodale each scored first-half goals to lead host Irvine (3-9-1) in a nonconference match. Goalie Janice Taft made 10 saves. Chapman is 4-4-3.
