Times Mirror Co. said it sold its Dorsey Press subsidiary to Wadsworth Inc., a unit of International Thomson of Britain, for an undisclosed price. Dorsey publishes college textbooks in the social sciences and is one of three imprints of textbook Publisher Richard D. Irwin Inc., which Times Mirror acquired early this year from Dow Jones & Co. for $135 million. Times Mirror, publisher of The Times, is a Los Angeles-based media and information company.
