MacroTest, an Irvine technology marketing company, has filed suit in federal court charging MacroData Corp. of Woodland Hills with trademark infringement and unfair competition.

The dispute is over a computer memory board test system and other computer related products that MacroTest contend are easily confused with its own products.

“MacroTest, as the owner of the mark Macrodata, is concerned that the defendants’ unauthorized activities will cause confusion and deception in the trade, with some customers believing they are receiving genuine Macrodata goods and services when they are not,” said a news release.
