Leftist guerrillas attacked two towns in western and central El Salvador, military and civilian sources said. A large group of Farabundo Marti National Liberation Front rebels entered Atiquizaya, a town of 30,000 about 50 miles west of San Salvador, early in the morning, firing rifles and mortars, the sources said. A bank was burned to the ground and several other buildings were damaged. The rebels also wounded several police officers, local radio reported. In Suchitoto, about 25 miles northeast of the capital, four police officers and three civilians were wounded by guerrillas, military sources said.
