JERUSALEM —
Israeli troops shot and killed four Palestinians and wounded 21 today during clashes sparked by the mysterious death of a man reportedly found manacled with army rope, Arab reports said.
Seven Palestinians were wounded in clashes in the occupied territories. An army official confirmed one death in the West Bank city of Nablus but said soldiers were not involved. He said the army was checking the other fatalities. It was the highest one-day death toll in the territories in six months.
