Campaign Controversy Over the ACLU

It's about time the function of the ACLU was clearly defined, and that's exactly what you did.

I was disappointed with Dukakis in his debate with Bush when he missed the opportunity to go into a little more detail about the ACLU, and clear up this matter once and for all.

Bush has used the ACLU superficially with his rhetoric about it defending child pornographers, and tax exemptions for churches. These emotionally charged issues easily camouflage the deeper meaning of the intention of the ACLU, which is to defend everyone's individual rights.

I salute the ACLU in spite of all the attacks that have been made against it, and for maintaining its integrity to uphold the Bill of Rights.
