Neighbors Cheer Deputies During Drug Arrests of Two in Cardiff
Neighbors stood in their yards and cheered encouragement early Friday when county sheriff’s narcotic officers raided a house in Cardiff and arrested its two occupants.
A Sheriff’s Department spokesman said that William J. Bowen, 26, was arrested on charges of possession of cocaine for sale and that Barry Mirandon, 42, was arrested on charges of cultivation of marijuana for sale. An ounce of cocaine and several marijuana plants were seized in the raid at the house on Chesterfield Drive. Both men were taken to County Jail in Vista.
The spokesman said the residents cheered the officers because they considered the two suspects the source of serious neighborhood problems.
