U.S. Embassy Car Hit by Gunfire in San Salvador

SAN SALVADOR —
A suspected leftist guerrilla opened fire on a U.S. Embassy security vehicle in El Salvador’s capital, hitting the car but causing no casualties, an embassy spokesman said on Saturday.
Two Salvadoran security men were in the car at the time of the Friday attack. No Americans were involved, the spokesman said.
