Weller-White Chemical, an Anaheim adhesive maker, has been acquired by Illinois-based Swift Adhesives for an undisclosed price, company officials said. Weller-White’s principal markets are product assembly, vinyl laminating and furniture manufacturing, according to a prepared statement from Swift. It specializes in urethane and solvent adhesives. Officials from Weller-White and Swift could not be reached for comment Tuesday. “Weller-White’s business is an excellent fit with ours,” Swift President Andrew A. Katai said in the prepared statement. “Their proven urethane adhesive technology meshes very well with our own long-range strategic plan.” Swift, based in Downers Grove, Ill., specializes in industrial adhesives. It is a division of Reichhold Chemicals of White Plains, N.Y.
