Pat Jacobs, a former strength coach at the University of Miami, has been put on 3 years’ probation by a federal judge in San Diego for his role in an international steroid smuggling ring.

Jacobs, who pleaded guilty to steroid trafficking March 15, told U.S. District Judge J. Lawrence Irving that he had obtained the drugs only for his personal use and had never supplied them to Miami students.
