Israel, China to Boost Trade, Academic Ties
Israel and China have established government-run corporations to promote trade and Israel soon will set up an “academic office” in Beijing to bolster cooperation in science and education, it was reported Wednesday.
Israel and China have had some quiet business dealings for years, and there have been several informal academic exchanges. State-run Israel radio said the latest moves “will institutionalize” these activities.
Foreign Ministry spokesman Allon Liel declined comment on the reports. There has been no comment from China.
