Baltimore Columnist Is Accidental Tourist

Having just returned from the Olympics, I feel compelled to respond to Baltimore Sun columnist Mike Littwin’s observations, published in Morning Briefing Sept. 18.

Littwin must have been in a different city than the one I visited for 10 days. If the Han is a “sewage tank,” it’s the most picturesque one I’ve ever seen. As for the air, I saw bright blue skies dotted with fluffy clouds, and no, I couldn’t “smell, taste or feel it.”

Perhaps Littwin should never travel outside of the Baltimore city limits. People like him create our “ugly American” image.
