County Drug ‘Spoils’

Share

I see where the Orange County Board of Supervisors was quick to effect a county realignment to accommodate inclusion of the 213-acre ranch awarded as “spoils” of a drug case, but cannot equally quickly decide what to do with the property.

Not too tough. Build your jail there. You have already stated that a remote site (i.e., Coal Canyon versus Santa Ana) poses no real transportation problem. Also, a jail in the middle of a 213-acre parcel gives at least moderate buffering to surrounding (sparse) neighbors. And finally, the site does not require hitting up the taxpayers for purchase money.

Sounds good to me.
